ALBACETE: QUALITY WINES. The seven wineries that comprise VINALEX Group are all located in the province of Albacete, in the towns of Villarrobledo, Tarazona de la Mancha, Montealegre del Castillo, Hellín and Villamalea. Their vineyards are carefully tended by hand, and the grapes are hand-picked to craft a range of wines which are without a doubt of excellent quality. The innumerable awards obtained play testimony to their class, as well as the quality control guarantee from the several origin denominations that make up the province: D.O. La Mancha, D.O. Manchuela, D.O. Jumilla, etc. The Province of Albacete is undoubtedly one of the best regions for producing top quality wines not just within La Mancha area, but in the whole of Spain.

The province’s vineyards are grown on privileged lands, where the continental climate offers strong thermal contrast and variable rainfall, conditions that are excellent for the cultivation of vines, joined with the effort of man combined with wisdom accumulated over generations means that the final result is guaranteed to be an excellent wine of utmost quality.

In the heart of vineyards, once the grapes have been harvested, the wines produced are characteristically white, rosé and red young wines, typically elaborated using the Carbonic Maceration method, as well as French and American oak-cask aged Crianzas and Reservas. These days many of the winemakers also experiment in the selection and creation of top of the range “Pago” or “Author” wines, as exponents of the very best that our region has to offer. These individually tailored wines are proving very popular, and will satisfy the most demanding of palates.
